Accredited Remediation Recommendations

Clear, proportionate remediation recommendations designed to support healthier indoor environments without unnecessary upselling.

Although Mould Focus is accredited in mould remediation practices, mould removal or remediation services are not offered directly. This approach ensures inspections and reports remain impartial, with recommendations based solely on the findings of the investigation rather than the sale of additional services.

Many companies that inspect mould also profit from carrying out remediation work. By remaining independent from the remediation process, Mould Focus provides honest, evidence-based assessments focused on identifying the true source of the issue and recommending the most appropriate course of action.

Where remediation is required, clear guidance can be provided to help clients understand the recommended next steps and standards that should be followed by any remediation contractor.

Mould Removal vs Remediation

We are often asked what the difference is between mould remediation and removal. Mould removal is physically removing all mould while mould remediation focuses on returning mould to natural levels.

The two terms can be interchangeable but since airborne mould spores are microscopic and abound in both the outdoor and indoor environments, it’s extremely hard to remove all mould in the atmosphere.

Mould growth within the indoor environment has long been linked with poor health and property damage, and is therefore the most significant biological pollutant to be found within the indoor environment.

Dead mould and fragments can still potentially pose a health risk which is why we believe in removing mould rather than killing it.
